In 2006 my husband and I spent 6 weeks in Spain, learning Spanish, painting, exploring and sampling another way of life, one where they stay up all night singing and sleep all afternoon!
In 2019 my husband and I spent 6 weeks in Chile and Peru, learning the language and inculcating ourselves in the culture. We traveled many hundreds of miles, stayed in Airbnbs and experienced the people and places. These paintings are some of my favorites from that trip.
March 2024 found me finally living the dream of visiting Patagonia and hiking Torres del Paine National park. These first paintings make up my daily diary through watercolor. Hope you get a sense of what it was like!
