New Artwork from Montenegro in 2021

During the months of November and December 2021 I was on the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro (just off the Adriatic Sea east of Italy) for a solo journey to paint. I experienced and painted pure glorious full sun, sunsets, sunrises, reflections and moonlight as well as thunderstorms and lightening. Sometime during my adventure I uncovered the gist for painting moving light and it inspired me so much. I painted on every sheet of watercolor paper I took with me. I was driven to capture the light as it really was, always moving, reflecting, changing. It was a prolific time for painting, but also for just being ~ being with the light, the changing shadows of the winter light, sitting quietly for long uninterrupted times.  I feel my artistry has made a transition.
